We would like to say Congratulations to Zach Taylor for an outstanding career at Carroll College.  Zach finished his career being named to the NAIA First Team All American. Way to go Zach!  See Below article




KANSAS CITY – Carroll College senior point guard Zach Taylor was named to the NAIA All-American First Team 

The Saints made the second consecutive trip to the Buffalo Funds-NAIA National Championship Quarterfinals and finished with the second-most wins in program history, closing out the season with a 29-6 record. 

Taylor averaged 16.6 points, 4.6 rebounds3.63 assists and 2.09 steals for the season. He closed the season fifth in NAIA DI in three-point field goal percentage and total steals. He was also seventh in free throw percentage. 

Taylor ranked in the NAIA top-50 in ten different statistical categories. He was named the Frontier Conference Player of the Year. 

Taylor is on the top-25 watch list for the Bevo Francis Award, the award for the best player in small college basketball. 

He was a NAIA Second-Team All-American last year and an Honorable Mention All-American his sophomore season.

KANSAS CITY – Carroll College senior point guard and former Cedcarcrest Basketball Standout Zach Taylor has been selected to participate in the annual NABC-NAIA Shoot & Slam three-point contest presented by US Bank. 

Taylor ranks 13th in the NAIA in three-point percentage. He is 45-95 (47.4 percent) from distance this season and 155-379 (40.9 percent) for his career. 

All NAIA Division I and Division II men's basketball players with senior eligibility status were eligible to be nominated for the contests. Contestants were selected by the NABC-NAIA Men's Basketball All-Star Committee, which is comprised of head coaches from both the Division I and Division II ranks. Criteria taken into account were season statistics, awards and a champions-of-character aspect.

Michael Gholston of Central Christian (Kan.), Jalen McGaughy from Dillard (La.) and Kyle Pipenger from IU East (Ind.) were also selected for the competition. 

The three-point contest will take place Saturday, March 18, between sessions of the Quarterfinals of the Buffalo Funds NAIA DI Men's Basketball Championship in Kansas City, Mo.
